Mr. Charles Kent Sprinkle, age 73, of Tabernacle Road, North Wilkesboro, died Monday, February 8, 2010 at UNC Chapel Hill Hospital. Mr. Sprinkle was born July 23, 1936 in Wilkes County to Ned and Ruby Bare Sprinkle. He was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church. Mr. Sprinkle was preceded in death by his parents and a step son.
Surviving are his wife, Nancy Kilby Sprinkle of the home; one son, Clark Sprinkle of Wilkesboro; four daughters, Terri Thomas of Richmond, Virginia, Kim Sprinkle of Wilkesboro, Brenda Roberts of North Wilkesboro, Linda Sprinkle of North Wilkesboro; two step daughters, Donna Wagoner of Hays, Denise Blankenship of Ferguson; one son in law, Martin Roberts of North Wilkesboro; three sisters, Nancy Holland of North Wilkesboro, Carol Key of North Wilkesboro, Linda Zinger of Wilkesboro; eleven grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and four step grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 o'clock Friday, February 12, 2010 at Miller Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Fred Holbrook officiating. The body will be placed in the chapel from 1:00 until 2:00 o'clock. Entombment will follow in Mountlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family will receive friends at Miller Funeral Service from 6:30 until 9:00 o'clock Thursday night. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, PO Box 2361, North Wilkesboro, NC 28659.
