Ms. Rilda A. Long, of Walker, Louisiana; having been a long time resident of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, died Saturday, February 16, 2013. Ms. Long was 84 years old. She was of the Catholic faith and a devoded fan of Louisiana State University. She was the daughter of the late Allie and Addied (Arceneaux) Babin.
Ms. Long was preceded in death by her parents; and 1 brother: Burnell Babin.
Ms. Long is survived by 1 daughter: Debbie Rowell and her husband: David; 1 son: Terry Lee Long and his wife: Jackie; 3 grandsons: Travis Long, Trey Long and David Rowell Jr; 1 sister: Norma Battle; other relatives; and many dear friends.
Mass of Christian Burial was held on Wednesday, February 20, 2013, at St. John Catholic Church in Prairieville, Louisiana.
Pallbearers were: Glenn Battle, Mike Battle, Mayo Broussard, David Rowell Jr., Sammy Douglas and Jaylan Gerald.
