Minnie Storck of Van Meter is Dead
Elderly Woman Had Lived in That Community Since 1889

Van Meter (Special) - Miss Minnie Storck died last Friday at the home of her sister, Mrs. Charles A. England. She was 77 years of age, and had been in failing health for several years.

Miss Storck was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Carl Storck and was born at Earlville on Aug. 17, 1865. There she was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran church. About 1889 she moved with her parents to Van Meter, where she spent the rest of her life. After her mother's death in 1935, she lived alone until two years ago, when she moved to the home of Mrs. England.

Surviving are her three sisters, Mrs. Martha Ziemann of Oakes, N. Dak., Mrs. Mary Phillips of Corning, and Mrs. England; and four brothers, John Storck of Des Moines, Richard Storck of San Gabriel, Calif., Manuel Storck of Storm Lake, and Daniel Storck of Marion.

A short prayer service was held from the Fisher Funeral home Sunday afternoon, and the funeral followed at the Trinity Lutheran church. Services were in charge of the Rev. C. Lilie.
