PITTSBURG —

Rosetta F. Butler 73, of Pittsburg, KS died 12:20 pm Friday February 15, 2013 at Via Christi Hospital in Pittsburg, KS following a long illness.

Rosetta was born March 1, 1939 in Weir, KS the daughter of Richard and Mildred (Cutshall) Newport. She was a graduate of Weir High School and moved to Pittsburg in 1958. She worked as a waitress and later area nursing homes as a CNA and CMA before becoming ill.

Survivors include a daughter Catherine Butler-Brown of Cherokee, KS; two sons Tom Butler of Olathe, KS and David Butler; sister Wilma Newport of Pittsburg, KS; a brother Louis Newport of Shawnee, KS; 3 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
Rosetta was preceded in death by her parents and sister Eunice Vankam.

Per Rosetta's wishes she is to be cremated and private inurnment will take place at a later date in Hosey Hill Cemetery Weir, KS. In lieu of flowers the family ask expressions of sympathy be in the form of memorials to the Countryside Christian Church. Friends may drop off or mail memorials to the Bath-Naylor Funeral Home 522 S. Broadway Pittsburg, KS 66762. Arrangements are by Bath-Naylor Funeral Home of Pittsburg, KS.
