Cheryl was born Aug. 28, 1948, in Straubing, (Bavaria), Germany, a daughter of Joseph N. and Rosemary Beck Colla and came to the United States as an infant.
Cheryl was a 1967 graduate of South High School and was a member of the National Honor Society. She was a legal secretary in downtown Youngstown, a secretary in the personnel department at Sherwin-Williams from 1970 to 1975, and later was a professional ice skating instructor at Mill Creek Metro Parks, and The Ice Zone in Boardman.
Cheryl was a member of St. Christine Parish and Professional Ice Skaters Association.
She will be sadly missed by her family, her husband, William G. Ward, whom she married Sept. 12, 1970; her sons, William J. (Bridget) Ward and Michael J. (Torrie) Ward, both of Youngstown; and a grandson, Michael A. Ward.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Cheryl will be laid to rest at Lake Park Cemetery.
