Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Lois Crump Quisenberry, 80 years of age, were held Thursday, May 13 at 10:30 a.m. from the Campbellsville Methodist Church with Rev. J. A. McDowell in charge assisted by Rev. W. C. Frank. Burial was in Brookside Cemetery. Mrs. Quisenberry died at her home near Spurlington, Tuesday, May 11 at 7 o'clock p.m. She had been in ill health for the past several months. She professed faith in Christ at an early age in life and was a member of the Saloma Methodist Church. She united in marriage to J. D. Quisenberry in 1864 (sic?) and to this union two sons and two daughters were born. Surviving: Miss Bessie Quisenberry, Chester Quisenberry, and Mrs. Margaret Druien, all of this county, two grandchildren, D. L. and Jessie Quisenberry, and many other relatives and friends. Pallbearers were Robert Gaines, Branch Huddleston, J. W. Gupton, Coy Willis, Murrell Hazard, and Henry Druien. ~The News-Journal, Thursday, May 20, 1948
