"RISON — Bernice Holderfield Rauls, age 86 of Rison, died Wednesday, February 23, 2005 at Cleveland County Nursing Home. She was born June 12, 1918 in the Herbine Community near Rison, a daughter of the late Garland G.G. Holderfield and Monnie Lee Crook Holderfield. Mrs. Rauls worked for Cleveland County Hospital, Cleveland County Nursing Home and Rison Public Schools as a lunch room worker, was treasurer of Prosperity Cemetery Association for 25 years, and was a member of Center Missionary Baptist Church.
"She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Wheeler Rauls; seven brothers & sisters. Mrs. Rauls is survived by two sons and daughtersin-law, Clinton & Dorla Rauls and Joe & Judy Rauls, all of Rison; one daughter and son-in-law, Nancy & Jesse Briggs of DeWitt; one sister, Faye Spakes of Pine Bluff; five grandchildren and their spouses, Robyn & Ken Collums, Rhonda & Scott Robnett, Russ & Tenille Rauls, Julie Lott and Josh Rauls; five great grandchildren, Anna Collums, Layne Collums, Abigail Robnett, Brady Robnett and Lexi Rauls.
"Funeral services are 2 p.m., Saturday, February 26, 2005 at Buie Funeral Home Chapel in Rison with Brothers Doney Blackerby, Jim Tollison and Wade Totty officiating. Burial will be in the Prosperity Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Lewis Hyatt, Rex Hyatt, Owen Ashcraft, John Damon Ashcraft, Carter Ashcraft, Frankie Hargrove, James Williams, Jim Ed Attwood and George Spakes.
"Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, February 25, 2005 at Buie Funeral Home in Rison. Memorials may be made to Prosperity Cemetery Association or the Gideons.
