NEW LONDON, Ohio Ira B. Turner, 68, died Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2013, at Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky, Ohio. He was born in Wise County, Va.;, son of the late Frank and Lola Booher Turner. He was preceded in death by one brother, Carter Turner; and two sisters, Ruth Tome and Bernice Brown. He worked for Poly One and Janesville in Norwalk, Ohio. He loved sports, the Ohio State University and Dallas Cowboys. He loved to draw, play horseshoes, watch westerns, and spend time with his children and grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Barbara Kidd Turner; two daughters, Lisa Meade of Virginia and Becke Schutt and husband, Brian, of Ohio; four sons, Darryl Kidd and wife, Jennifer, David Kidd and wife, Diana, Joshua Turner, and Lucas Turner, all of Ohio; 19 grandchildren; four great grandchildren; eight sisters, Audrey Carter, Erlene Cloud and husband, Leon, Sandra Hartsock and husband, Oakley, Peggy Turner, and Pam Turner, all of Virginia, Emma Sutherland of Maryland, Glenda Hill and husband, Paul, of North Carolina, and Lillie Biecheler and husband, Paul of Ohio; three brothers, J. C. Turner and wife, Nancy, Arthur Turner and wife, Sylvia, both of Virginia, and Jackie Turner and wife, Terri, of North Carolina; and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services for Ira B. Turner will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 18, 2013 in Castlewood Funeral Home Chapel, Castlewood, Va., with the Rev. Howard Edwards and the Rev. Allen Viers officiating. Interment will follow in Temple Hill Memorial Park, Castlewood. Pallbearers will be Luke Turner, Darryl Kidd, David Kidd, Cole Schutt, Oakley Hartsock, and Bobby Turner. The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 8p.m. Sunday, Feb. 17, 2013 in Castlewood Funeral Home, Castlewood.
