William Romanowski
1914 - 1986

Funeral services will be held today (Thursday) at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Boyd, Wisconsin, for William Walter Romanowski, who died of an apparent heart attack Saturday morning at Dryden Community Hospital in Dryden Ontario, Canada. He was 72 years of age.

Mr. Romanowski was born May 10, 1914 at Lublin, the son of Jaroslaw and Helen (Domkiewicz) Romanowski. He grew up in the Lublin area.

He was united in marriage to Alvina Wundrow, June 24, 1939, at St. Ann's Church in Stanley, Wisconsin. After their marriage, they moved to the Town of Delmar, where they farmed for many years. He retired in 1979, and has lived there since.

Mr. Romanowski is survived by his wife, Alvina; three sons and three daughters:

* Eugene of Boyd
* Kenneth of Cadott (grandchildren: Gary, Shari, Dean, Betty, and Daniel) (two great-grandchildren: Nicole and Ashley)
* Janice (Roger Kohls) of Cadott (grandchildren: Roger, Susan, James, Peter, Rebecca, and Kari)
* Linda of Arcadia (grandson: Terry)
* Constance (James Grunewald) of Fall Creek (grandsons: Brett and Brock)
* William, Jr of Fountain City (grandsons: Lucas, Nathan, and Dustin)

He is also survived by three brothers: Edward of Thorp; Anton of Gilman; and John of Wausau.

He is also survived by four sisters: Mary (Louis Luzinski)of Thorp; Veronica (Roman Tysnik) of Thorp; Anna (Steve Luzinski) of Springfield, Illinois; and Frances (Louis Larson) of International Falls MN,

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and three sisters.

Father Arthur Redmond will officiate the services. Burial will be held at St. Joseph's Cemetery. Plombon Funeral Home of Stanley is in charge of arrangements.
