EARLVILLE Laverne F. Knipper,70, died of cancer Friday morning in Mercy Health Center-St. Mary's Unit, Dyersville. Services: 11 a.m. Monday, St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Burial: church cemetery. Friends may call after 1 p.m. Sunday at Clifton Funeral Home, where there will be a rosary at 3 by Knights of Columbus, Holy Name Society and Catholic Order of Foresters and a parish vigil service at 7:30 p.m. Survivors include his wife, Alice; three daughters, Dianne Kluesner of Luxemburg and Marilyn Friedmann and Ruth Bockenstedt, both of New Vienna; six sons, James, Kenneth and Steven, all of Earlville, Dennis of Greeley, Gene of Dyersville and Robert of Simi Valley, Calif.; a sister, Kathleen Osterhaus of Dyersville; and five brothers, Gilbert of New Vienna, Ralph of Delhi, Joe of Kansas City, Mo., Walter of Dyersville and Rick of North Liberty. Also surviving are 27 grandchildren.
