Florence G. Powell Rickey, 88, of Hannibal, Missouri passed away from this earthly to the heavenly at 8:55 am Friday, June 19, 2009 at her home.

Funeral Services will be at 11:00 a.m., Monday, June 22, 2009 at the James O'Donnell Funeral Home. Rev. W.C. Willis will officiate. Burial will be at Grand View Burial Park in Hannibal.

Visitation will be Sunday, June 21, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the James O'Donnell Funeral Home.

Mrs. Rickey was born September 5, 1920, in Ashburn, Missouri to Arthur Lee and Laura L. Long Powell.

She was married to Tom Rickey on June 26, 1937. He preceded her in death.

Survivors include 5 children, Florence Charlton of Hannibal, MO, Esther Failor (Basil) of Hannibal, MO, Roger Rickey (Sharon) of Hannibal, MO, Sally Willis (W.C.) of Cabot, Arkansas, Shirley Jeffries of Loveland, Colorado, 1 Sister, Isabell Holman of Hannibal, MO. 23 grandchildren, 55 great grandchildren, 34 great great grandchildren and numerous family, friends and many church friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband, and 2 sons; Chester Wayne Rickey and Oscar Thomas Rickey.

Mrs. Rickey was a homemaker. She was Baptized in Jesus name and received the Holy Ghost in 1952 at First Pentecostal Church at 11th and Broadway where she attended for 45 years She was a member of Gospel Lighthouse Church for past 12 years. Mrs. Rickey was known by her loving kindness to all who knew her. She was a true Christian in every way and a very big part of her grandchildren's lives who cherished her. She traveled throughout the country. Mrs. Rickey loved foreign mission and supported Rev. Potter in Ireland for many years. She was a beautiful supporter and friend to the First Apostolic Church of Lockport, Illinois where she has many dear friends. She will be sadly missed by United Pentecostal Church of St. George, Utah, Salisbury, North Carolina and Helena Montana.

Pallbearers will be Tommy Joe Rickey , Jeff Willis, Danny Sawyer, Arlow Charlton, Raymond Charlton, Howard Rickey, Gary Epker, and Roger Rickey and BJ Charlton .

Honorary pallbearers will be Trevor Willis, Tyler Willis , Arlow Charlton II, Danny Sawyer, Raymond Charlton III, Danny Powell II, and Chase Epker, Dalton Freiling, TJ Rickey and Gage Charlton and close friends Michael McClelland, Scott Kazaluskas and Basil Failor.

Memorial contributions may be made to Lighthouse Ranch for Boys in care of the James O'Donnell Funeral Home.
