Frank Mattera, Jr., 82, of Jackson, Georgia, died September 5, 2007 at Southwest Christian Care, Union City, GA. He fought in Normandy during World War II in the United States Army.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Jeanie Beardin Mattera. He is survived by daughter, Sandi (Mike) Reid of Jackson; son, Frank Mattera III of Inverness, Florida; grandchildren, Michael Reid and Denesha Reid; 6 great-grandchildren; and sister, Antoinette Holloway of Lincoln, Illinois.
Burial held Monday, September 10 at Lawnridge Cemetery in Rochelle, Illinois. Carl J Mowell & Son, Fayetteville, in charge of arrangements.
