In the 1930's relocated with his brothers to Washington state to pursue work in the timber industry. Married (1) Ellen Buchanon in 1926. She died in child birth 1928. (2) Louise Anna Fox 1928 in Carter County, Tennessee. The couple had three children Don, Ed, and Margaret. (3) Winnie Alice Cook 1937 in Darrington, Washington. The couple had three children Jack, Pauline, and Harold. (4) Jennie Bridges 1958 in Grays Harbor, Washington. No children from the last marriage.
