LaQuita Joyce Martin, 72, of Houston, passed from this life on April 2, 2010. She was born April 9, 1937 in Lindale, Texas to Thurman & Hattie Talbert. She is preceded in death by father, Thurman Talbert and by mother & step-father, Hattie & Hank Ciesielski. She is lovingly survived by her husband of 53 years, James A. Martin; by son & daughter-in-law, Steve & Nikki Martin; one grandson, Steve C. Martin and great-grandson, Ethan Riley Martin; as well as by other family and friends. A visitation will be held Monday, April 5, at Carter Funeral Home from 6-8:00 p.m. with a celebration of life service at 9:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 6, in the Chapel of Carter Funeral Home. She will be laid to rest in Hopewell Cemetery, in Lindale, Texas later in the day at 4:00 p.m. under the direction of Carter Funeral Home.
