THE PARIS NEWS, FEB.17, 2013, PAGE A3 - Patricia Gail "Pat" Christie, 66, of Powderly, passed away Thursday, Feb. 14, 2013, at Baylor Medical Center in Dallas. Memorial services will be scheduled at a later date. Cremation is under the direction of Bright-Holland Funeral Home.
Pat, the daughter of C.O. and Doris Lucille Haney Joplin, was born Dec. 19, 1946, in Bovina. She attended Bovina High School. She loved being a caregiver for others and for a number of years had been a caregiver in the Dallas area. She had a big heart and always put the needs of others before her own.
Her husband, Eddie Christie; her parents; and a sister, Elaine Joplin, preceded her in death.
Survivors include a daughter, Stephanie Loyd and husband, Rodney; a son, Tim Robbins and wife, Vickie; four grandchildren, including Cody Clausius and Tyler Perry; eight great-grandchildren, including Ryan Clausius; two sisters, Lynette Eckelt and husband, Buddy and Shirley Alsup and husband, Bernie; several nieces and nephews including Cathy Eckelt, along with her close friend, Pete.
