Henry Lincoln Pruitt Sr., 76, of Catrons Creek, passed away February 14, 2013 at the Harlan Appalachian Regional Hospital following a long illness. He was born on February 9, 1937. He was a native and life-long resident of Harlan, where he worked as a mechanic for the VTC Lines Bus Company for several years during the Vietnam Conflict era. He worked as a mechanic for
Bascum Smith Garage. He also served as owner and operator of Pruitt's Garage until he retired in the late 1990s.

He was preceded in death by his father Charles Pruitt Sr., his mother Lillian Fultz Pruitt, and an infant brother Billy Pruitt.

He is survived by three children, a son Henry Pruitt Jr. and his wife Kathy Ewing Pruitt, of Catrons Creek; two daughters
Teresa Ann Pruitt, of Harlan; and Sheila Preisler, of Rockford, Illinois; eight grandchildren, Jeannie Poteet and husband
Kevin; Tiffany Bailey and husband David; Andrea Pruitt; Henry Pruitt III and his fiancé Melody Turner; Sheena Peak; and
Ka'ssee Robinson all of Harlan; Shasta Thompson, of Georgetown; and Charles Preisler, of Tempe, Arizona; nine great
grandchildren; Kamryn Stocker, Ryane and Zack Peak, Alexandria Linville, Aubrey Poteet, Ariana and Myra Bailey,
Rain Langley, Aiden Roper; two brothers, Charles Pruitt Jr. and Shirdian Pruitt, both of Catrons Creek; a sister JoAnn
Crider and her husband Tom, of Fort Myers, Florida; and a Goddaughter Shylea Ball, of Harlan. He is also survived by a
special friend and the father of his youngest grandchild Doyle Robinson, of Lenarue; a former son-in-law of 12 years and the father of his two oldest grandchildren David Thompson, of Elcomb, a special cousin Bryan Fultz, of Catrons Creek, and a host of nephews and nieces and many dear friends.

Visitation was Sunday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. and the funeral service was Sunday at 7 p.m. at Mount Pleasant Funeral Home with Robert Keith officiating.
Graveside services was on Monday at 2 p.m. at the Resthaven Cemetery. Family and friends served as pallbearers.
