Sara Ford Ray, age 88, was called home by the Lord Friday, Aug. 24, 2012, in Newport Beach, CA. Born Sept. 19, 1923, in Richmond, she was the daughter of Henry and Elizabeth Ford. She delighted in gardening and sewing and was an active member of Trinity United Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by her children, Curtis (Micaela) of La Vernia, TX, Paul (Carolyn) of Zephyrhills, FL, Fred of Louisville, KY, and Dale (Judy) of Rockledge, FL, son-in-law, Tom Rock, Ft. Wayne, IN, Gail (Paul) of Port Ludlow, WA, Steve (Laurie) of Greenville, SC, Randy of Huntington Beach, CA, Roselyn of San Antonio, TX, and Dann (Susan) of Haymarket, VA; 17 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Loren Wayne Ray; her son, Robert and daughter Carol; and her three siblings Evelyn Stanley, Lawrence Ford and Hester Chandler. Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Sept. 1 at Trinity United Presbyterian Church in Bergholz with Reverend Alan Jeffries officiating. Interment to follow in Richmond Union Cemetery, Richmond, OH.
