ROSSIE ELVINA RENNELLS

Rossie Elvina Rennells was born on May 8, 1898 to Samuel and Jessie McCoy Arnaman in Putnam county, Missouri and passed from this life after a lingering illness, July 29, 1962 at the Monroe Hospital, Unionville, Missouri. She was at the time of her death, 64 years, 2 months and 21 days of age. She was preceded in death by her mother, a sister, Mrs. Hazel Sherer and a brother, George Arnaman.

She received her education at the Halley school near Hartford, Missouri and spent her entire life as a mother and home maker.

She obeyed the beckoning call of Jesus Christ to accept Him as her personal saviour and was buried in Christian baptism. She united with the First Christian Church of Unionville, Missouri in the year 1924. She attended her church when her health would permit.

She became a member of the Wilber C. Odam Post of American Legion Auxiliary, Unit 24 on October, 1950. She did what she could for this organization as long as her health would permit.

She is survived by her husband, Glen Rennells, a daughter, Mrs. Uarda Quint, a son-in-law, Glenn Quint, two grandchildren, Coleman and Colleen Quint, all of Unionville, Missouri. Also surviving is her father, Samuel Arnaman of Unionville, Missouri, four aunts, Mrs. George Speaks of Hartford, Missouri, Mrs. Amanda Fechtling of Joplin, Missouri, Mrs. Mary Bramhall of Kansas, Mrs. Fanny McClanaham of Detroit, Michigan, nieces, nephews and many friends who mourn her expiration.

She was a wonderful wife and a loving mother who loved her home dearly. Her interest was also great in her love of flowers and could be seen admiring flowers around her home and also the flowers around the community. With this interest in flowers we are reminded of the words of our Lord Jesus Christ when he said, "Why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field how they grow: they neither toil not spin, yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. But if God so clothes the grass of the field which today is alive and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will he not clothe you?"

The funeral was conducted at the Husted Funeral Home Tuesday, July 31, 1962 at 1:30 with Ronald Henwood as the officiating minister, The body was tenderly laid to rest in the Unionville cemetery.
