Edward J. Fryou, Sr., 83, a native of Chauvin and resident of Bourg, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2013.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until funeral time Monday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Montegut. A military service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at the church. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the church, with burial in the church cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Greta Pellegrin Fryou; sons, Dale Fryou and wife, Jill, and Eddie Fryou and wife, Annette; daughter, Jill Waggoner and husband, Ted; grandchildren, Jayme, Katie, Kelley and Kyron; and great-grandchildren, Asian, Piper, Keegan, Aubree', Paizlee, and Brielle.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Fryou and Effie Trosclair Fryou; son, Earl Boudreaux III; one grandchild; and 16 brothers and sisters.
He was an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was an employee of Terrebonne Ford for 28 years.
He enjoyed many things, but most of all spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

The family would like to thank Dr. Dickey Haydel, Dr. Scott Haydel and the staff of Terrebonne General Medical Center, especially the nurses Michelle and Tina.

Samart Funeral Home in Houma is in charge of arrangements.
