Rello Oller, 96, a resident of the Carroll Lutheran Village Home, Westminster, Md., and of 138 W. Main St. Waynesboro, died Tuesday, Jan 7, in the home. Her Main Street residence is currently the headquarters for the Waynesboro Historical Society.

Miss Oller had been in failing health for the past year and seriously ill for the past week. She entered the home on Aug 29, 1988, and was formerly a resident of the Quincy United Methodist Home.

Born Jun 14, 1895, in Waynesboro she was a daughter of the late Joseph J. and Myrtle (Funk) Oller.

She was a lifelong resident of Waynesboro, having lived at the Main Street residence her entire life. She also had a home in Miami, Fl.

Miss Oller graduated from Waynesboro High School with the Class of 1914, and graduated from Juniata College, Huntingdon, with the Class of 1920.

She and her family had been actively involved in Juniata College since its founding. Her grandfather Jacob F. Oller, served on the college's first permanent board formed in 1879.

Miss Oller's father and brothers, Jefford F. Oller and Jack E. Oller served as college trustees for several years.

Miss Oller contributed to several local charitable organizations and was interested in the welfare of young people. She recently donated her home to the Waynesboro Historical Society for its use as the society's headquarters.

She was a life member of the Waynesboro Church of the Brethren.

She also was a member of the Founders Club and the President's Circle at Juniata College, the Waynesboro Historical Society, and was an active member of the Cumberland Valley Choristers in Hagerstown before it disbanded.

She is survived by her sister-in-law, Mrs. Jack E. Oller of Huntingdon; and three foster children, John Morris and Rello L. Haight, both of Florida and Gwendolyn Miller of Georgia. They are the children of the late Janet (Ecker) Morris.

Miss Oller was the last of her immediate family.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in the Snyder Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. John L. Huffaker officiating. Burial will be in Burns Hill Cemetery.

Friends will be received one hour prior to services at the funeral home Friday.
