Patrick James Prince, 76, of Taylorville died at 1:45 a.m. Saturday, October 31, 2009, in his home surrounded by his family.

He was born April 7, 1933, in Taylorville, the son of William E. and Mary Ellen Conway Prince. He married Delphia Madge Brownfield on May 28, 1960, in St. Charles, MO. She died January 15, 2000. He retired from Fiatt Allis after 32 years. He was a member of the National Rifle Association and American Legion Post #73 and AMVETS Post #29, both of Taylorville. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict.

Surviving are his brother, Mike (wife Angie) Prince of Decatur; sister, Daisy Lindsey of Orlando, FL; and several nieces and nephews, including special nephew, William Prince of Taylorville. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; brothers: Norman Prince, William Dane Prince; and sister, Mary Lou Hushman.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 4, in Sutton Memorial Home, with Pastor Chad Foster officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, with military rites.

Visitation will be held for one hour prior to services in the funeral home Wednesday.
