Barbara E. Ausherman, 80, of Martinsburg, WV, went to be with the Lord on Friday, June 22, 2007 at her residence.

Born July 13, 1926 in Berkeley County, WV, she was the daughter of the late Isaac J. Krouse and Ada Kisner Krouse Harris.

She was owner/operator of the Ausherman Christian Book Store for nearly twenty years and was previously employed with the Interwoven Mill for a number of years.

Mrs. Ausherman had also owned the A & T Herb Store in Inwood and volunteered with Meals on Wheels and the Food Bank in Hedgesville.

She was an active member of The First Church of God Independent/Shenandoah Bible Baptist Church for nearly sixty years where her and her late husband, Ralph were instrumental in starting of the church's bus ministry.

The Aushermans were one of the founding families with the Eastern Panhandle Training Center.

She is survived by a son, Rodger Ausherman and his wife, Lisa of Martinsburg; one daughter, Sylvia Ausherman of Martinsburg; foster daughter, Doris Jean Harpine; four
granchildren, Erick Mason and wife, Michelle, Ashley, Rodger II, and Isaac Ausherman; one sister, Glenda Glammeyer of Berryville, VA; and two step-brothers, Max and Phil Brandes of South Carolina.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph E. Ausherman of sixty-three years; one daughter, Vicky Mason; one grandson, Mark Travis Mason; four sisters, Mary Whittington, Madeline Talbott, Joyce Hammond, Lucy Krouse; and one brother, Donald Krouse.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 26, 2007 at 1:00PM at the Shenandoah Bible Baptist Church with Dr. Jeff Owens officiating. Entombment will be in Maranatha
Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends on Monday from 3:00PM to 5:00PM and 7:00PM to 9:00PM at the Brown Funeral Homes South Berkeley Chapel in Inwood.

Memorial contributions may be made to Shenandoah Bible Baptist Church, 2251 Williamsport Pike, Martinsburg, WV 25404.
