Marion Hightower Dead.
After an illness of several months of cancer of the stomach, Marion Hightower died Monday evening at his home in Southeast Shelbina. He was born in Shelby county, near Lakerian, October 1, 1845 and resided in that vicinity until about five years ago, when he came to Shelbina.
Deceased was married to Miss Lee Dill, in 1876 and leaves, besides the widow, three sons, Walter and Eugene, of Mooresville, Mo., Roy, at home, and one daughter, Mrs. Chris Glamser, west of town.
Mr. Hightower was a faithful member of the Christian church, lived an exemplary life and leaves his devoted family the rich legacy of a blameless life and an upright walk in all the paths of life.
Funeral services were held at the Christian church Wednesday at 9 a. m. and the body taken to Prairie View cemetery northeast of Lakenan for interment.
