FAIRMOUNT--Mrs. Fern Kirk, 60, RR 1, Fairmount, died Wednesday at Ball Hospital where she had been a patient for five days.
Mrs. Kirk had taught school in the Madison-Grant school system for 21 years and was a member of the National Education Association and the Indiana State Teachers Association. She was also a member of the Center Christian Church of Fairmount.
Survivors include her husband, Doyte; a daughter, Mrs. Tinka Bach; two sons, J.C. Kirk, Marion, and James Kirk, at home; and three grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Hunt Funeral Home, Fairmount. Rev. Robert Rowe of the Center Christian Church will officiate. Burial will be in the Park Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home.
