Beloved mother, grandmother and special friend passed away Wednesday, February 1, 2006 at Hoyt Nursing & Rehab Centre. Age 84 years. Daughter of the late Nelson and Louiza (Moran) Abraitis, Theresa was born June 26, 1921 in Saginaw, Michigan. She was married to Anthony J. Abraitis on August 3, 1946. He predeceased her April 3, 1987. Theresa was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church. Surviving are two daughters, one son and their spouses, Jean Veitengruber, Frankenmuth; Barbara and Michael Culbert, Caro; Donald and Linda Abraitis, Fenton; seven grandchildren; three great- grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Margaret Rondo, Agnes Rondo and Phillis Rondo; a special friend, Helen Louise Mahar; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Theresa was preceded in death by a son, Ronald Abraitis; a granddaughter, Nichole Veitengruber; two sisters, Frances Lichon and Edwina Schultz; three brothers, Ralph, George and Nelson Rondo. Mass of Christian Burial will take place 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 4, 2006 at Holy Family Catholic Church. Rev. Fr. Joseph A. Schabel will officiate with burial in Eastlawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd., (between Shattuck and McCarty), where the family will be present on Friday from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday at Holy Family Catholic Church from 10:00 a.m. until time of Mass. A Vigil Service led by Pastoral Associate Roger Pasionek, will take place 4:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
