MIDDLETON - Roy "Putty" Tufts, 82, formerly of Middleton, died Friday, Jan. 25, 2002, at Riverside Rest Home in Dover.
Born July 15, 1919, in Middleton, he was the son of Joseph Wright Tufts and Lillian (Tuttle) Tufts. He had resided in Middleton for many years.
His employment had been at a turkey farm in Greenland, at the Ralph Canney Chicken Farm on Meaderboro Road in Farmington and with the DiPrizio Lumber Co. of Middleton.
He is survived by his sister, Marion Hibbard of Farmington; many nieces and nephews including, Wayne Jenness of Farmington, Helen Leighton of Farmington and Maurice Tufts.
He was predeceased by eight siblings, Ransom Tufts, Mose Tufts, Herbert Tufts, Melvin Tibbetts, Orrin Tufts, Forrest Tibbetts, Doris Woodman and Corabelle Leighton.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. at C.E. Peaslee and Son Funeral Home, 32 Central St., Farmington.
Interment will be in the spring at Pine Grove Cemetery in Farmington.
