Ray Elmer Cain, age 73 of Utica, Nebraska died February 16, 2013 at home with his family around him. He was born in Utica, to Elmer and Margaret (Deremer) Cain, February 17, 1939. He farmed around Utica. He graduated from Utica High School in 1956. He was a 50 year member of the Utica Masonic Lodge #96, a member of the York Rite, and Sesostris Temple Shriner. Ray was a Road Runner for the Sesostris Shrine and a Clown (Oops) with the Meridian Shrine. Although not in good health himself, it was important to Ray that he made a diligent effort to visit others who were in the hospital or unable to get out. Ray also loved playing cards, spending time with his family.
Memorial services were held February 23, 2013 at the York Evangelical Free Church, formerly the Baptist Congregational Church. In accordance to Ray's wishes, he has been cremated.
