One of two young children of the eight children of Martha and Henry R. McDonald are interred in the nearby forests of Westchester Township and in an overgrown area now managed by the US Park Service. The graves of daughter Eliza McDonald who died July 16, 1861 at the age of nine, and that of infant son Sidney who died March 4, 1862 predate the Furnessville Cemetery. Sidney was 3 months and 28 days when he died. Son, Charles McDonald (1856-1897) is interred in the Furnessville Cemetery.
The other children were: Martha (1858-1926); Fanny (1864-?); Abbie (1866-?} and Mary 1900-1926).

H.R. McDonald and Martha Wilson McDonald divorced and he is interred in the Chesterton Cemetery.

Martha's grandchildren who are interred in the Furnessville Cemetery are: Howard Raymond McDonald (1904-1982); Bessie E Lynd-McClure (1885-1963);
