Victoria Rodriguez Sanchez was born April 8, 1865 in Deifontes, Granada, Spain. She married Eduardo Abril in Spain and when he died she left Spain with her children and her second husband. She arrived in Hawaii on April 26, 1907 on the SS Heliopolis. Her second marriage did not work out and she divorced him about 1910 and moved to California. She took a position as a housekeeper on a ranch near Woodside and La Honda. On December 13, 1916 she was found murdered at the ranch. It was assumed that her employer, murdered her.
