She was born in Emanuel County and lived in Bloomingdale for the past 25 years. She was a retired secretary with Local Union No. 50-8 and was a member of Alpha United Methodist Church.
SURVIVORS: her husband, Dewey L. Monroe of Bloomingdale; a son, Joseph W. Brown of Culloden; two daughters, Sandra Jean Beckham of Richmond Hill and Deborah Ann Fleming of Savannah; her mother, Ruth P. Daniels of Bloomingdale; five sisters, Ernestine D. Rawlins, Jimmi D. Taylor and Linda D. Strozier, all of Bloomingdale, and Elizabeth D. Griffin and Gail D. Fowler, both of Savannah; and four grandchildren.
FUNERAL: 3 p.m. Tuesday at Alpha United Methodist Church, burial in Bulloch Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
VISITATION: 6-9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
