Polly Davis, age 84, of Algona, died on Friday February 15, 2013 at the Good Samaritan Care Center in Algona. Funeral services will be 10:30 AM Tuesday at St. Cecelia Catholic Church in Algona, with Father Ed Girres officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Algona. Visitation will be 4:00 – 7:00 pm Monday at Lentz Funeral Home in Algona, with a 4 pm Rosary and 6:30 pm Scripture Service.
Polly Ann Volkoff, the daughter of Alex and Anna (Wren) Volkoff, was born on August 18, 1928 in Glendale, Arizona. On July12, 1951 Polly was united in marriage with Robert James Davis in Phoenix, Arizona. Polly was a member of St. Cecelia Catholic Church. She enjoyed watching soaps, traveling when she was able and she loved her grandchildren.
Left to cherish Polly's memory are her children, Robert Davis, Jr. of Clear Lake, Randy Davis of Mason City, Patty Hudspeth and her husband Dennis of Algona and Tim Davis Urib and his spouse Toby of Des Moines; three grandchildren, Angie Wilson, Carrie Schumacher and Daniel Davis; and three great grandchildren, Hunter Wilson, Sierra Schumacher and Julien Schumacher. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert in 1992; and all of her siblings.
