DAYTON - Mary Shank Beery,
83, of Rt. 2, Dayton died Wednesday
afternoon at her home. She had been
ill five years.
She was born July 19,1902, in Harrisonburg
and was a daughter of the
late James H. and Lydia Frances
Lahman Shank.
Mrs. Beery was a member of
Pleasant View Old Order Mennonite
Church.
On Dec. 7, 1921, she married
Walter R. Beery, who survives.
Also surviving are six daughters,
Lydia Ann and Carrie Beery, both at
home, Vada M. Rhodes, Lois Good
and Margaret Brubaker, all of
Dayton, and Vena Showalter of Harrisonburg;
three sisters, Bertha
Beery and Pearl Brenneman, both of
Harrisonburg, and Annie Hartman
of Elida, Ohio; a brother, James T.
Shank of Harrisonburg; 13 grandchildren;
and 12 great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted
10:30 a.m. Saturday at Pleasant
View Old Order Mennonite Church
by the Bishop Marion Wenger.
Burial will be in Pleasant View
Cemetery.
The body has been taken from the
McMullen Funeral Home to the
Beery home, where the family
will receive friends.

DAYTON - Mary Shank Beery,
83, of Rt. 2, Dayton died Wednesday
