Ruby I. Cavanaugh, 84, formerly of Cambridge Square Apartments, died Tuesday in Muncie Health Care Center. She was born in Muncie, attended Royerton schools and lived her life in the Muncie area. At one time, she was employed with Stillman's Department Store.

Surviving are a daughter, Betty; a son, Bob; a sister, Edith; seven grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday in Meeks Mortuary with Rev. Harry Slattery officiating. Burial will be in Hawk Cemetery. Calling hours at the mortuary are 6-9 p.m. Wednesday or before services Thursday.
