Route 1, Harrisonburg, died Aug.
25, 1994, at the home of his son,
David Horst.
Mr. Horst was born Aug. 16,
1909, in Mahoning County, Ohio,
and was a son of the late Harvey
and Susanna Witmer Horst.
He had lived in the Harrisonburg
area for 66 years. He was a
farmer, a blacksmith and a member
of Pleasant View Old Order
Mennonite Church.
On March 20, 1940, he married
the former Artie Knicely, who died
Oct. 13, 1987.
Surviving are a daughter, Orpha
C. Horst of Route 1, Harrisonburg;
three sons, Myron H. and David R.
Horst, both of Route 1, Harrisonburg,
and Justus C. Horst of Route
10, Harrisonburg; a sister, Edith
Roper of Goshen, 'Ind.; a brother,
Amos Horst of Route 3, Dayton;
and five grandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted at
10:30 a.m. Sunday at Pleasant
View Old Order Mennonite Church
by Bishop Marion Wenger. Burial
will be in the church cemetery.
