WILLIAM HENRY JAMESON was a Private for the Union in the Civil War assigned to Company M, Iowa 2nd Cavalry Regiment on 13 Sep 1862. He mustered out on 21 Mar 1863 at La Grange, Tennessee.

William Henry Jameson was the son of Alexander D. and Helen (Warriner) Jameson. He was born at Abbott's Corner, Erie County, New York. He married Hannah Jennings on July 15, 1858 and they resided in Iowa. They had eight children, Eli Elfonzo, Effa Jane, Flora Bell, William Henry, Warren Franklin, Clara May, Charles Levi and John Arthur.
