Funeral services for Mrs. William Gordon Oliphant, 80 of Mount Juliet will be at 3 p.m. today at the Mount Juliet Baptist church with Dr. V. B. Powell officiating.
Mrs. Oliphant died early yesterday at the home of her daughter, Miss Josephine E. Oliphant of 1323 Ardee ave., after an illness of three years. Burial will be in the Hollis Wright cemetery in Wilson county. The body is at Cosmopolitan funeral home, 2505 West End ave.
The former Louella Adcock of DeKalb county, she was a daughter of B. W. and Tennessee Adcock and was educated in the DeKalb county schools. She married Mr. Oliphant, who died last year, 48 years ago and had lived in Davidson county for 46 years.
Mrs. Oliphant was an active member of the Mount Juliet Baptist church.
Survivors include another daughter, Miss Vietta V. Oliphant; two sons, William Gordon Oliphnt Jr., of Nashville and Embree Wallace Oliphant of Madison;, a brother Benjamin F. Adcock of Van Nuys, Calif.; and four grandchildren.
