Joyce A. Snider, 63, of 2777 Pioneer Drive, died Tuesday, Jan. 30, 2001, at Manor Care Health Services in Chambersburg, Pa.
Born March 6, 1937, in Chambersburg, she was the daughter of the late Abram B. and Irene M. Hawke Wingert.
She had worked as a sales clerk for F.W. Woolworths and Freys Tropical Treat.
She was a member of St. Thomas Lutheran Church, and taught Nursery Sunday School class.
She was a member of St. Thomas Homemakers.
She is survived by her husband, Wayne F. Snider, whom she married Sept. 19, 1965; a daughter, Deanna F. Snider of St. Thomas; a son, Frank E. Snider of Williamson, Pa.; three sisters, Phyllis Stahl and Jean Alleman, both of Chambersburg, and Faye Wingert of Greencastle, Pa.; a brother, Dale Wingert of St. Thomas; and two grandchildren.
Services will be Friday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Thomas Lutheran Church. The Rev. James F. Young will officiate. Burial will be in St. Thomas Cemetery.
The family will receive friends today from 6 to 9 p.m. at Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home in St. Thomas, which will open at 2 p.m.; and Friday at 9:30 a.m. at the church.
