Jeanne L. Love, age 85, 1322 Love Station Road, Erwin, went home to be with the Lord at 12:58 p.m. Thursday, February 14, 2013, at Unicoi County Memorial Hospital.

She was born and reared in Unicoi County, a daughter of the late James and Leatha Rose Osborne Lewis. Mrs. Love was a loving housewife and worked in the florist and retail clothing business. She was a long time faithful member of Love Chapel Christian Church where she was actively involved and served as treasurer for her Sunday School Class. She and Clarence were always very active and was in charge of refreshments at Bible School. Jeanne was also known as the "Pecan Lady" because she sold pecans to raise money for church projects. When her children were young she was actively involved with and was a past president of the PTA at Love Chapel School. Mrs. Love and her husband Clarence were members of the Unicoi County Sports Hall of Fame. They were avid Unicoi county sports fans and worked as band boosters for many years. Mrs. Love was a member of Eastern Star Lodge # 276.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Clarence Stover Love, who passed away September 29, 2006; three brothers, Sam Lewis, James Lewis, and Paul Lewis; three sisters, Mary Lewis, Pauline Riddle, and Louise Lewis.

Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, John C. and Mary Love, Greeneville, Keith and Sebrina Love, Jonesborough, and Tim and Janie Love, Erwin; eight grandchildren, John Love, Coos Bay, Oregon, Chris Buckles and wife, Sara, Murfreesboro, Thomas Love and wife, Heather, Kingsport, Susan Brandon and husband, Jason, Greeneville, Matt Buckles, Nashville, Kody Love, Jonesborough, Dr. Ryan Love, Asheville, North Carolina and Olivia Love, Erwin; five great grandchildren, Nellie Grace Love, Mason Brandon, Carter Buckles, Quinton Brandon, and Ryan Buckles;
one brother, Carroll Lewis and wife, Fern, Amarillo, Texas
one sister, Hazel McGaha, High Point, North Carolina; one sister-in-law, Wanda Lewis, Colorado Springs, Colorado; one brother-in-law, Raymond Riddle, Kingsport.
A special family member, Nancy Carol Foster, Johnson City and the very special caregivers of Unicoi County Memorial Hospital Long Term Care Unit.
Several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends also survive.

Funeral service for Mrs. Love will be held at 7:00 p.m. Sunday, February 17, 2013, from the Robert Ledford Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Robert Bess and Pastor Ben Evely will officiate.
Special Music will be provided by "Greater Heights" and Lee Ann Evely.
The men of Love Chapel Christian Church will serve as active pallbearers.

The committal service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 18, 2013, at Roselawn Memory Gardens.
Those attending the committal service are asked to assemble at the cemetery by 10:45 a.m. Monday.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Sunday prior to the service at the funeral home and other times at the home of her son and daughter-in-law, Tim and Janie Love, 1324 Love Station Road, Erwin.
