BATCHELOR, ended his life in tragic manner at the family residence about a mile from Ellerslie. // The young man arose Thursday morning apparently in his usual health and spirits and went out to his work, but returned during the morning, went to his room, locked himself in, it is said, and then ended his life by shooting himself in the head with a shotgun. // The young man was well known and well liked in that section and his tragic end is greatly deplored by all who knew him.
