Louise Anderson, age 96, of Jonesboro, formerly of Quitman, passed away Thursday, February 14, 2013 at the Jackson Parish Hospital.
Mrs. Anderson was a member of Crescent Chapter #64 Order of Eastern Star in Jonesboro, she was a member of Cypress Creek Baptist Church in Dodson and she was a retired nurse from Lincoln General Hospital in Ruston.
Mrs. Anderson is survived by brothers, Paul Green and wife Betty of Dodson, J.M. Green and wife Mary Lou of Dodson; sister, Pauline Durbin of Gansville.
Mrs. Anderson was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Marshall Anderson; son, Charles Anderson; sisters, Edna Calhoun and Linnie Bullock; brother, Herm H. Green.
She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, February 17, 2013 at the Southern Funeral Home Chapel in Jonesboro with Reverend Nick Verret and Reverend Danny Green, Jr. officiating.
Friends may visit with the family, Saturday from 4:00PM until 7:00PM at the funeral home.

First Name LOUISA, long "i": My Paternal Aunt Mary Lou (Braswell) Green, married to J.M. Green, a brother to Louisa. Mary Lou gave me this information today June 4, 2012 by telephone. That Louisa was her given name at Birth, that all her close family still call her Louisa to this day even though it says Louise on her Social Security Card. Louisa tells the story of her first name being changed by mistake by the people at the Social Security Office, but family says that's just not so because you fill out your own forms when you apply for a card. Louisa never liked her name and preferred to be called Louise. All non-Family know her as Louise and call her by that. So she is known as Louise outside Family. We will check what name is on her birth Certificate, but I was told she received what is called a Delayed Birth certificate so who knows what she could have put on there. So since Family Says she was BORN AS LOUISA and that's what name they call her by, that is the name I am listing her as !
