Funeral services for Mrs. Opal Lee Reeves, age 89, of Tyler are scheduled for 11:00 A.M. Thursday, May 25, 2006 in the Caudle-Rutledge Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Sherman Mayfield officiating. Interment will follow in the Hopewell Cemetery with arrangements under the direction of Caudle-Rutledge Funeral Directors in Lindale. Mrs. Reeves died Tuesday, May 23, 2006 in a Tyler hospice center. She was born in Smith County on April 21, 1917 to George Denziel Sitton, I and Maggie Lee Rozell Sitton and was formerly of Lindale before moving to Tyler in 1943. Mrs. Reeves was a member of the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church and was a housewife. She was also a gourmet country cook and collected dolls. She was preceded in death by her parents and Husband, Mr. John L. Reeves on October 9, 1988.

Mrs. Reeves is survived by 2 Daughters, Joyce Carter of Tyler & Melba Mebane of Tyler; Sister, Ruby Roberson of Lindale; Brother, George Denziel Sitton, II of Lindale; 2 Grandchildren, Terry Mebane & wife Laura of Bullard and Richard Ward & wife Stacey Carter of Lubbock; 7 Great Grandchildren, Colton & Conner Mebane, Hunter & Austin Skelton, Blake, Brooks, and Brandt Carter; and several Nieces & Nephews.

Serving as pallbearers will be Al Worley, Charles Hulsey, James Campbell, Derwood Malone, Shirley Kirkley, Larry Allen, Bud Hatfield,
