Agnes Anne Abadie Waguespack, a resident and native of Vacherie, died on Thursday, July 21, 2005, at the Thibodaux Regional Medical Center at age 96.

She is survived by four daughters and sons-in-law, Zulma W. and William Elrod, Katherine W. and David Amedee, Bertha W. and Jimmy Brock and Jane W. and Wayne Becnel; four sons and daughters-in-law, Dr. Hubert Joseph and Lynda Waguespack, Rodney Gerard and Catherine Waguespack, Perry Michael and Anelle Waguespack and Dr. Philip James and Michelle Waguespack; 22 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and a sister, Elma Abadie Tassin.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Alvin Felix Waguespack; parents, Frank and Zulma Tregre Abadie; five sisters, Sister Mary Lucy (Helena Abadie,) Elodie Breaud, Amelia Boudreaux, Laure Abadie and Rosa Abadie; and six brothers, Lewis Abadie, Andre Abadie, Faustin Abadie, Ozane Abadie, Leon Abadie and Richard Abadie.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Philip Catholic Church, Vacherie, on Monday, July 25, at 11 a.m. Visitation at the church will be on Monday from 8 a.m. until time of service. Entombment will be in the church mausoleum.

In lieu of flowers, enrollment of Masses is preferred.

H.C.Alexander Funeral Home, Lutcher, is in charge of arrangements.
