Funeral services for Mrs. Cecil Browning Harvey, age 91, will be held at10:00 am Saturday, August 16, 2014, at the Bailey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Todd Pickard and Rev. Gladney Hunt officiating. Interment will follow in the Old Shongaloo Cemetery under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home, Springhill, LA.

Visitation will be held Friday, August 15, 2014, from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm at Bailey's in Springhill.

Mrs. Harvey was born August 15, 1922 to Dock Alvin and Edna Maude Reeder Browning in Haynesville, LA and passed away Wednesday, August 13, 2014 at her home in Shongaloo, LA. She was a lifelong resident of this area, an active and faithful member of the New Era United Methodist Church and was a homemaker. She was a member of the Shongaloo Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star #171 and will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her favorite pastime was playing cards with family and friends and going fishing.

She is survived by three daughters, Marilynne Smith and husband, Jimmie of Shreveport, LA, Martha Coile and husband, Jimmie of Plain Dealing, LA, Mildred Baird of Springhill, LA; two sons, Alvin Harvey and wife, Denise of Nacgodoches, TX, Wayne Harvey and wife, Ramona of Shongaloo, LA; eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren, Angie Timmons and husband, Raleigh, Pam Walker and husband, Mark, Lisa Ashworth, and husband, Chris, Jeff Coile and wife, Amy, Dustin Harvey and wife Ashlee, Jennifer Stewart and husband Jeremy, Jordan Blocker, Cody Harvey and brother-in-law, Winfred Starr. She is preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Delbert D. Harvey on April 16, 2005; her parents; sister, Sybil Ratcliff; brothers, Melvin Browning, and Willard Browning.
The family would like to thank Julie Morris, Natalie Benson and Chaplin Andrew Abshire of Regional Hospice, also caregivers, Cynthia Mills, Sharon Vaughan, and Lavelle Vaughan.

Pallbearers will be Bob Kilpatrick, Max Drake, Curtis Sewell, Dustin Harvey, Cody Harvey and Glen Carver.
