CAPT. J. T. BRADY DEAD - GRIM REAPER SOUNDS LAST CALL AND CAREER OF NOTABLE MAN IS ENDED - Capt. John T. Brady. since 1888, a prominent figure in the valley, passed away at his residence at 132 E. Pearl St. at 10:30 Sunday morning. The news of his death was not a surprise to the community or to the laRge circle of Mr. Brady's friends, for his condition has been such that since the serious surgical operation at the Pomona Valley Hospital, few have expected that he would survive at best more than a few weeks. Mr. Brady was 79 years of age and would have reached his 80th mile-stone on October 17th. The deceased is survived by his widow, Emily C. Brady, his niece, Mrs. Helen Brady, who made home with her uncle from early childhood, and her young son, John Brady, who was adopted by the deceased some ten years ago. The deceased also left surviving his brothers Alexander, of KS, And William, of OK, a sister, Mrs. Matilda White of this city, and a number of nieces and nephews in other states, Private funeral services will be held at the residence at 132 E. Pearl St. at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon.
