Esther was born at New Galena Lead Mine Farm in New Britain. She was a long time resident of Dyerstown, Plumstead Twp. She was the wife of Crispin Althouse Sr. She was the daughter of Reuben D and Mary (Constantine) Landes. Esther was a graduate of Doylestown High School Calss of 1931. Esther was also a member of The Bucks County Historical Society.
