Gerald Joseph Miller
Rayne - Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday March 26, 2007 at a mass of Christian burial in St. Joseph Catholic Church for Gerald Joseph Miller, 66, who died at his residence in Eunice on Friday, March 23, 2007 at 10 p.m.
Entombment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery # 2 in the mausoleum.
After a long hard fought and very courageous battle with cancer passed on to his eternal life with his dear Lord and savior. Gerald was an accordionist and will once again be able to play but now with the greatest of all. He will be greatly missed with his quick little smile and dry sense of humor. He was a loving husband, stepfather, grandfather, brother, uncle, brother-in-law, cousin and friend.
Survivors include his wife, Earline Breaux Miller of Eunice; three step-sons, Andrew Tate and wife Danita of Mamou, Wyatt Tate and wife Elizabeth of Indian Bayou, Benton Tate of Alexandria; three sisters, Myrtle Gary and husband FE of Jennings, Patricia Young and husband Charlie of Crowley, Bonnie Staricka of California; two brothers, Vernon Miller and wife Dorothy of Eunice, Sterling Miller and wife Jean of Lafayette; one brother-in-law Willie Clement of Lake Charles; Six step-children, Courtnei Tate, Garrett Tate, Alex Tate, Marilana Tate, Jordon Rivers, Ethan Tate.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Matthias Miller and Ola Daigle Miller; two sisters, Joycia Miller and Theresa Clement.
The family would like to give special thanks to Vernon and Dorothy Miller, Mrs. Sally Frey, Andrew Tate, Sheila Blanchard, Bernita Jagneaux, Betty Guillory and all his family and friends for all the spiritual and emotional as well as physical help. Last but not least to Karen Cart and Pam Benoit with Louisiana Hospice and Palliative Care.
A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Sunday.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Gossen Funeral Home of Rayne.
