Carmen Banales Juarez was born on July 16, 1930, to Juanita B Ortiz, and he passed away on February 3, 2013, at the age of 82 years old.

He is survived by his wife of 62 yrs; two brothers; a sister; eight children; eighteen grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.

Carmen enlisted in the service at the age of 16 and He served in the 11th Airborne Division, US Army, 129th Engineering Battalion. He earned the World War II Victory Medal and the Occupational Medal (Japan).

After an honorable discharge he was married and began raising a family. He was a carpet layer by trade, but also worked at General Dynamics and retired from the Pomona Unified School District.

One of his gifts he passed onto his 8 children was his great sense of humor. His passion was providing for his family, he was a very generous husband, father and always willing to help others.

Rosary will be held at Todds Memorial Chapel at 6:30pm on Friday, February 15th.

Funeral Mass will be at Sacred Heart Church Pomona, California at 10:00am on Saturday February 16th.

Burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery in Pomona.
