Blacksburg, S.C. - Tommy Elliott, 84, of 338 White's Farm Road, Blacksburg, passed away Monday, February 11th, 2013 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.

Born in Gaffney, Mr. Elliott was the husband of Carolyn Johnson Elliott of the home and the son of the late Talmadge Dewitt Elliott and Odell Elizabeth Wilson Elliott.

He worked as a meat cutter in area grocery stores and was market manager. He was a member of Mount Paran Baptist Church. He was a member of Buffalo Lodge #202 AFM (Lifetime) and lifetime member of VFW Post 4941. He was the retired music director of Mount Paran Baptist Church, Mount Whitaker Baptist Church, Broad River Baptist Church, and Rock Springs Baptist Church.

In addition to his wife Carolyn, Mr. Elliott is survived by two sons, Toby Elliott of Gaffney and Robert Elliott of Blacksburg; three daughters, Ruthie Broome of Blacksburg, Glenda Dyer of Grover, and Paula Wallace of Myrtle Beach; one brother, Dewitt Elliott of Cowpens; 17 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Carlton Elliott.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, February 13th, 2013 from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at Mount Paran Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 14th, at 11:00 a.m. at Mount Paran Baptist Church with Rev. Jay Clever officiating. Interment will follow at Mount Paran Baptist Church Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Mount Paran Baptist Church, 105 Mount Paran Road, Blacksburg, S.C. 29702.

The family will be at the residence.
