Phyllis Jean Clements, 88, a former Joshua school teacher, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2013. Graveside service: 10 a.m. Saturday, Crowley Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Mountain Valley Funeral Home. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Alzheimer's Association , 2630 W. Freeway, Fort Worth, Texas 76102; or Crowley Presbyterian Church, P.O. Box 207, Crowley, 76036. Phyllis was born June 12, 1924, in Indianapolis, Ind., to Phillip Prentice and Opal Pease Prentice. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 61 years, John Clements; and brother, Jim Prentice. Phyllis graduated summa cum laude from Butler University, and was a member of Delta Delta Delta Sorority. Her two life goals were to have children and teach school. She accomplished them both. Survivors: Daughters, Anne Buller and husband, John, Mary Lynn Rector and husband, Dale, all of Crowley; grandchildren, Lacie Rector of Austin and Ryan Rector of Fort Worth.
