Daniel Ralph Neal, 87, of Rossiter, died Tuesday, Aug. 19, 2003, in Punxsutawney Area Hospital. He was born Jan. 6, 1916, in Banks Township, the son of James Irvin Neal and Lizza Myrtle Gressley. He was a member of the United Mine Workers of America, a retired coal miner and former caretaker of Devers Cemetery. Mr. Neal also worked as a carpenter, beekeeper and was a former deputy state game warden. He is survived by a sister Ruth Huey of Rossiter. He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers: Guy Neal, Leroy Gressley, Quay Neal and John Neal; and three sisters: Mary McCullough, Rosezella Lightner and Olive Edna Neal. Friends will be received in the Deeley Funeral Home, Punxsutawney, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Charles Eugene Miller officiating. Interment will be in Devers Cemetery Rossiter RD.
